Talking about sex life can sometimes be difficult. Differences in expectations, anxiety, embarrassment, or misunderstanding can make it difficult for couples to share their needs.
In counseling, feelings, expectations about sexuality and communication in the relationship are handled without judgment. Respect for each person's boundaries and mutual consent is the basis of the process.
In Which Situations Can You Contact Us?
- Different expectations of sexual desire or intimacy between partners.
- Difficulty talking about sexual issues and personal boundaries.
- Feeling anxiety or performance pressure during intimacy.
- Distancing and disagreement in the relationship due to sexual difficulties.
- Emotional effects of pain, induration, ejaculation or difficulties with orgasm.
- Body image and beliefs about sexuality make intimacy difficult.
What is addressed in the process?
In the first interviews, the reason for application, expectations and the effect of difficulty on daily life and relationship are evaluated. Individual or couple interviews are planned according to the need; issues related to communication, anxiety and intimacy are worked on. Sexual difficulties can also have physical causes. Relevant physician evaluation is important in situations such as pain or function change; psychological counseling is not a substitute for medical evaluation.
